I am currently completing my PGCE in Secondary Science (Physics) at Bishop Grosseteste University, with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) pending. As part of my training, I have taught over 17 lessons per week at UK schools including Banovallum School and Frederick Gough School, covering KS3, KS4, and Sixth Form physics. My teaching responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum, assessing student progress, differentiating instruction for mixed-ability and SEN students, and maintaining Ofsted-compliant records. Internationally, I have taught IGCSE and A-Level physics and mathematics at Nada International School in Saudi Arabia, where I also designed personalized lesson plans to improve student outcomes. Additionally, I developed digital teaching resources for the Sabaq Foundation and supported home-schooled students in functional skills development. Beyond the classroom, I have led STEM clubs, organized science exhibitions, and served as a form tutor, contributing to students’ academic and pastoral development. Academically, I hold an MPhil in Physics, an MS in Astrophysics, and I am currently completing an M.Ed in Secondary Education (2025). I also actively participate in continuing professional development (CPD), including training in numeracy, cybersecurity, and inclusive teaching strategies.
My name is Fahad Hussain. I am a passionate physics educator with extensive international and UK-based teaching experience. I hold an MPhil in Physics, an MS in Astrophysics, and I’m currently completing my PGCE at Bishop Grosseteste University, with QTS pending. Over the years, I’ve taught IGCSE and A-Level physics and mathematics in diverse educational settings, including Nada International School (Saudi Arabia) and multiple UK schools such as Frederick Gough and Banovallum. I’ve also developed physics teaching resources for the Sabaq Foundation and supported SEN students through personalized instruction. I am particularly interested in combining real-world applications with conceptual understanding to engage students meaningfully.
Alongside teaching, I have led STEM initiatives, coordinated extracurricular activities, and taken on pastoral responsibilities. I’m now looking to bring my experience and enthusiasm to a leadership role, ideally as subject lead for physics, while also engaging in professional development through the NPQ in Leading Teaching.
