I have over 8 years of teaching experience as an Assistant Professor in Geography, having worked at various institutions where I’ve taught undergraduate and postgraduate students. My journey as an educator began soon after I completed my post-graduation in Geography in 2015, and I’ve been committed to academic excellence and student-centered learning ever since. In terms of certification, I have qualified the UGC-NET in 2014 and 2016, and I was awarded the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in 2018, which reflects my academic preparedness and deep subject knowledge. My teaching methodology is rooted in active learning and conceptual clarity. I believe that students learn best when they are engaged, so I incorporate discussions, debates, group work, and hands-on map activities using both atlases and freehand mapping. I make an effort to adapt my teaching to different learning styles and levels, especially when preparing students for competitive exams, where clarity, retention, and application of knowledge are key. I also treat myself as a lifelong learner — I constantly update my methods, explore digital tools, and draw connections between textbook content and real-world applications to make Geography not just a subject, but a way of understanding the world.
a passionate educator and researcher in the field of Geography. I have a deep interest in urban planning, sustainable development, and how geographical knowledge can be applied to real-world challenges. I enjoy teaching because it allows me to not only share knowledge but also continue learning through my students’ perspectives. My interests extend to map reading, field surveys, and understanding the socio-economic and physical landscapes of regions. I'm currently working on a thesis related to Kota city’s feasibility as a Counter Magnet to the National Capital Region, which involves a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods. Outside of academics, I also enjoy exploring educational technology, creating interactive learning materials, and helping students prepare for competitive exams.
Learning, for me, is a continuous journey — and I love being both a student and a teacher along the way.
